Frank Pearce, 93, of Whitney, Texas died March 4, 2005 in Town Hall Estates, Whitney, Texas. Frank was born January 15, 1912, to James Madison and Sidney Bowles Pearce in Wapanuka, Oklahoma. The Pearce family moved to Childress, Texas where his father was employed with the railroad. After his father?s death in 1930, Frank?s family moved to Calera, Oklahoma where graduated from high school. Frank excelled in basketball and baseball while in high school. He met and married Edythe Daily Pearce. Three daughters were born unto this marriage. In 1935, they moved to Dallas and Frank went to work for Ford Motor Company and worked there until the plant closed in 1970. It was then he retired and moved to Whitney, Texas and spent may days of his retirement doing one of his loves - fishing. Preceding him in death are his parents, first wife, Edythe, two daughters, Charlynne Stinson and Glenda Clendenen; a sister, Mrs Lillian Hamilton; two great-granddaughters, Brandy Mae Reynolds and Teresa Serna; and one great-grandson-in-law Greg Wolfe. He is survived by his wife Mary Lou Green Pearce. Frank and Mary Lou recently celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary. During their marriage they traveled parts of 48 states, and spent may days fishing, working in their yard, and doing other things they both loved to do.. Frank is also survived by a daughter, Jacquelynne and her husband, Jack Reynolds of Denison, Texas; son-in-law, Wayne Stinson of Little Elm, Texas; a sister, Pauline Moody of Durant, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and fifteen great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a step-son Michael F. Green and wife, Kelly of Houston, Texas; a step-daughter, Fabienne Mayfield of Lewisville, Texas; four step-grandchildren and one step- great-granddaughter. Frank was a member of the First Baptist Church of Whitney, Texas. He trusted the Lord and was baptized at the age of 12, and has been a long and faithful servant. He served as an Elder of his church in Dallas, and taught Sunday school for many years. He served on the Whitney City Council, was a sixty year plus member of Rising Star Lodge #129 in Calera, Oklahoma, a volunteer of Meals On Wheels for twelve years and served as Director of the Whitney Area Museum.
