Frank Joseph Polansky, Jr.

Frank Joseph Polansky, Jr. was born June 22, 1936, in West, Texas, to Frank Polansky, Sr. and Mary Hynek Polansky. Frank passed away on Monday, April 29, 2024, at a Waco hospital at the age of 87.

Frank was a farmer all his life. He grew up on the family farm and continued caring for the land until his death. He remembered the time he went to work for his father’s uncle at the cotton gin near Morton and Pep in west Texas. Frank shared many stories about this time in his life. He enjoyed listening to polka music, was passionate about his family history and spent many hours on his phone researching his family roots. He was a lifelong member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church of the Assumption.

Frank loved spending time with and talking to his nieces and nephews. He was proud of them and enjoyed looking at pictures of his great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers-in-law, Johnnie Pustejovsky and Jerry Kostroun, Jr.   Frank is survived by his brothers and sisters, Mary Pustejovsky of Abbott, John C. Polansky and wife, Nancy of West, Agnes Kostroun of Cameron, Vaclav (Jimmy) Polansky of West, and Raymond Polansky and wife, Nachelle of West; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Frank’s wishes, private services will be held.
