Frank Tipton, 86, of Bynum passed away Sunday, June 28, 2015, at Hill Regional Hospital in Hillsboro. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 2, 2015, at Brandon Cemetery in Brandon with Rev. Joanne Ramsey officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, 2015, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro.

Frank was born December 21, 1928 in Kennard to Lewis E. and Rosa C. (Merriwether) Tipton. During the Korean Conflict, he served his country in the United States Army. On November 2, 1957, he was united in marriage to Judith Lonsinger in Beaumont. He was owner and operator of Tipton International in Hillsboro for 41 years, Waxahachie Equipment for 30 years, and Tipton International in Waco for 20 years. When he was not busy working at his businesses, he loved being a rancher, raising his cattle and riding around on his ranch in his Kubota. Frank’s grandchildren and great-grandson were the apple of his eye and he was very proud of them all. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Hillsboro.

Preceding him in death were his parents and three brothers, Robert, Lynn, and Earl Tipton.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Judith Tipton of Bynum; two children, Pat Walker and husband, Bobby, of Hillsboro and Craig Tipton and wife, Dana, of Waxahachie; brother, Charles Tipton and wife, Dorothy, of Georgetown; five grandchildren, Matt Walker of Hewitt, Ben Walker and wife, Sara, of West, and Aaron Tipton, Ryan Tipton, and Alli Tipton, all of Waxahachie; one great-grandson, Blaine Walker of West; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives; and a host of friends.

Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
