Gary Cosby

Gary Wayne Cosby, 74, of Mertens, Texas, passed away on July 18 of natural causes.  A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, July 24, 2021 at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro.

He served the nation in the Navy during the Vietnam era.  Gary’s happiest times were with a rod and reel in his hands, and was known to catch fish when everyone else on the water had empty stringers.  It was his passion!

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Elizabeth.

He is survived by his brother, Randy Cosby of Magnolia; daughter, Brenda Blood of Houston; grandchildren, Carrie Benavidez of Mertens, Antony and Christian Blood of Houston; Great Grandchildren, Cloey, Obed, and Sophia Benavidez of Mertens.
