Gary Lee Gilley

Gary Lee “Bubba” Gilley was born in Cleburne, Texas on May 21, 1951 and passed from this life January 10, 2023 at the age of 71 in Fort Worth, Texas.  A memorial Service will take place at 2:00 pm, Saturday, January 21, 2023, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro, Texas, with a visitation to follow.

Bubba grew up in Itasca, Texas and graduated from Itasca High School in 1970.  He loved playing sports with the Wampus Cats.  Bubba joined the United States Army in 1971 and served in Vietnam.  He retired from Miller Brewing Company in Fort Worth after thirty-nine years of dedicated notably punctual service.  Bubba enjoyed playing golf and looked forward to attending the Colonial Golf Tournament every year.  He treasured his family and friends.

Preceded in death by his parents, Donald Lee Gilley and Dorothy Clements Smith and his son Gary Lee Gilley, Jr., he is survived by his daughter, Nichole Gilley and her husband, Stephen LaGreca; granddaughters, Chynna, Maebry, and Cate; grandson, Julian, all of Colorado; his siblings, Nancy Gilley Bowman and husband David of Itasca; twin sister Sherry Gilley King and husband, Chuck of Aledo, Susan Gilley Smith of Itasca, Donald Lee Gilley, Jr. and wife, Donna of Burleson and many loved nieces, nephews and many “goodly friends – TCB.”
