Gary Votaw

Gary Don Votaw, 56, of Hillsboro passed away Friday, January 8, 2016, at Town Hall Estates in Hillsboro. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 11, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro with Pastor Derrell Surface of First Assembly of God Church in Hillsboro officiating. Burial will follow at Peoria Cemetery.

Gary Don was born November 20, 1959 in Whitney to Earl and Mozelle (Sheffield) Votaw. He was a very active member of First Assembly of God Church in Hillsboro where he loved to sing.

Preceding him in death were his father, Earl Votaw; brothers, Earl Ray, Ronny, and Steve Votaw; and beloved nephew, Mark Votaw.

Survivors include his mother, Mozelle Votaw of Hillsboro; brother, Roger Votaw of Whitney; two sisters, Caroline Smith and husband, Kent, and Debra Votaw, all of Hillsboro; sister-in-law, Linda Votaw of Paducah; cousins, Robert Monroe and wife, Joni, and Mary Hughes; a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews; and a great-great nephew.
