Geneva was born August 14, 1924 in Hillsboro to Lottie Lou (Oliver) and Arnold Leroy Deese. She grew up in Bynum, where she graduated from high school, and she also attended Hillsboro Junior College. After college, she moved to Dallas, went to work at Schoellkopf, and met her future husband, John E. Lowe, Jr. They were married on March 28, 1946. The couple settled in Milford in 1973. She later served as a substitute teacher for the Milford Independent School District. Geneva enjoyed working in her yard, refinishing furniture, and buying, repairing, and selling antiques. She was very proud of her housekeeping skills and was a big sports fan, from NASCAR to rodeos to football. An avid reader, she dutifully read the Dallas Morning News and the Reporter newspapers. Geneva was very up to date on current events and could talk on any subject. She was affectionately known as “Little Woman” and “Sis”. She was of the Baptist faith. Preceding her in death were her parents; brother, Leroy Deese; and half brother, James Oliver Jobe.

Survivors include her husband of 68 years, John E. Lowe, Jr. of Milford; two sons, John A. Lowe and wife, Kristen, of Arlington and Dwight Lowe and wife, Renee, of Waxahachie; brother, Doyle Deese of Arlington; half brother, Thomas Wayne Jobe of Ovilla; three grandchildren, Brad Lowe of Tulsa, OK, Morgan Lowe of Plano, and Katie Lowe of Arlington; seven nephews and nieces, Rick Deese of Itasca, Dewayne Deese of Arlington, Michael Deese of South Lake, Brenda Deese of Burleson, Wayne Jobe of Streetman, Lisa Combs of Midlothian, and Joey Jobe of Red Oak; her cat, Kitty Lowe; and her two granddogs, Little Man Lowe and Vince Lowe.

The family would like to express a special thanks to Anita Tune, Janet Campbell, and Robert “Buckeye” Walker for their loving care and kindness.
