Georgann Henderson

Georgann Henderson, 53, of Itasca passed away Monday, October 29, 2018 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 2, 2018 at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro with Mr.Kevin Rhodes and Mr. Buddy Fry officiating. Burial will follow at Itasca Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m Thursday, November 1, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro.

Born April 3, 1965, in Hillsboro, she was the daughter of Ernest Lamar and Charlie Janette (Nix) Henderson. Georgann currently taught English at the Rio Vista Middle School and was an educator thoughout her career. During her career, she worked and traveled all over the world. She strived to broaden her students horizons by sharing those experiences with them.

Preceding her in death was her brother-in-law, Randy Schulz.

Survivors include her parents, Ernest and Janette Henderson of Itasca; brothers, Mike Henderson and wife, Kaye, of Hillsboro, and Bryan Henderson and wife, Renee, of North Richland Hills; sister, Susan Schulz of Malone; and many neices, nephews and other extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Rio Vista Middle School - East Coast Field Trip Fund; PO Box 369; Rio Vista, TX 76093. This was a trip that Georgann was planning for her students.
