George Baker

George D. Baker, 87, of Laguna Park was called home to be with his Lord and other family members on May 2, 2009. George was born on November 23, 1921 in Garden Plain, Illinois, the son of Fred and Etta Dodson Baker. He was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather who retired from Bell Helicopter in 1983. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and five sisters. He leaves behind his beloved spouse of 63 years, Beverly M. Baker and six loving children: Judy Lee Baker Farley and spouse, Scott of Burleson, Etta Marie Baker of Ft. Worth, Sandra Diane Baker Henderson and spouse, Bobby of Whitney, Janice Rae Baker of Laguna Park, Charles Edward Baker and spouse, Connie of Red Oak, Patti Jo Baker Gilbreath and spouse, Mark of Lakeside Village; nine grandchildren: Julie Ann Boston Jefferies, Jack Allen Stanley, Adam George Boston, Jacque-Lynne Stanley, Larry Wayne Sikes, Jr., Charles Christopher Baker, Beverly Rose Baker Eberle, Craig-Lyn Dotson Gilbreath, and Markie-Jo Gilbreath, seven great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
