Gerry Crawford

Gerry Crawford passed away on January 24, 2009 in Whitney, Texas. He was born on May 29, 1959 in Rapid City, South Dakota to Robert and Dorothy Denton Crawford. Gerry was raised in Rapid City and moved to Texas in 1988. He served his country in the United States Navy. Gerry had worked for Saylors Roofing before working as a custodian for Whitney ISD. He enjoyed spending time with his family, nieces and nephews, fishing, writing poetry, collecting angels and attended the Nazarene Church. He was also active in Narcotics Anonymous as well as Alcoholics Anonymous. Preceding him in death were his parents and brother, Kenneth Wilson, Jr. Survivors: son, Ryan Crawford and wife, Emily of Hopkinsville, KY; brothers and sisters, Michael Crawford and wife, Arlene of Hermosa, SD., Rachel Brewer and husband, John of Denver, CO., Edwin Crawford of Knoxville, TN., Brenda Keep and husband, Mike of Waco, Gary Crawford of Souix Falls, SD., Paula Hutchings and husband, Tim of Whitney, Dorothy Shields and husband, Kelly of Whitney and grandson, Sebastian Crawford of Hopkinsville, KY.
