Gilbert Ender

Gilbert Wayne Ender, 68, of Malone, Texas, passed away March 12, 2025, at his son's home in Robinson, Texas. A memorial visitation will take place from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Friday, March 28, 2025, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors, Hillsboro.

He was born on November 7, 1956, to Frederick B. and Selma (Lander) Ender, in Waco, Texas. Gilbert grew up in Malone and graduated from Bynum High School in 1975. He worked for several area farmers, Victory Fertilizer and Sherwin-Williams Paint Company, where he worked for twenty-six years before retiring.

Gilbert enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, estate sales and (his favorite pastime) college football. He stayed very active after his retirement and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Gilbert loved his grandchildren unconditionally and did a great job spoiling them. He was a member of the Salem Lutheran Church.

Preceded in death by his parents, Frederick and Selma Enders; and his brother, Curtis Ender, Gilbert is survived by his children, Dillon Ender and wife, Morgan, and Frankie Bashioum and wife, Courtney; grandchildren, Dallas Wayne Ender, Amyah Bashioum, Nevaeh Bashioum, and Frankie Bashioum; his brothers, Melvin Ender and wife, Pam, and Alvin Ender and friend, Susan Christofferson; and other relatives and friends.
