Gladys Dean Ferguson was born December 30, 1907 in the Hamil Branch Community in Hill County, Texas the daughter of Charles Dean and Katie Wilson Kuykendall. On January 1, 1929 she married Lloyd B. Ferguson in Hillsboro. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing and gardening. She also loved to cook and was very good at it. She was a member of Line Street United Methodist Church in Hillsboro where she was very active. Preceding her in death were her husband, Lloyd B. Ferguson, on June 12, 1968; five brothers; one grandchild; one daughter-in-law, Dawn Marie Ferguson; and one son-in-law, James Langford, on October 14, 2004. Survivors include six children, Mary Ellen Langford of Chandler, Charles Ray Ferguson of Red Oak, Joseph Roy Ferguson and wife, Joyce W., of Mesquite, Nancy Sue Coffey of Ennis, Jane Isabella Ferguson of Hillsboro, and Hugh Lloyd Ferguson and wife, Leah, of Hillsboro; a sister, Maxine Lewis of Whitney; eleven grandchildren; eightteen great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
