Gladys Wilmore

Gladys Wilmore, 79, of Malone passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at Hill Regional Hospital in Hillsboro. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 29, 2013, at Christ Lutheran Church in Hillsboro with Rev. Michael Nemec officiating. Burial will follow at Salem-Lutheran Cemetery in Malone. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, June 28, 2013, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro.

Gladys was born July 7, 1933 in Rosenberg the daughter of John and Hattie (Bronikowski) Wleczyk. On December 23, 1955, she married Fred R. Wilmore and he preceded her in death on April 2, 1992.

She loved to cook and be outdoors working in her garden. An animal lover, Gladys enjoyed taking care of all the dogs that her children and grandchildren brought home. She also loved helping her friends and being with her family and grandchildren. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Hillsboro.

Also preceding her in death were her parents; daughter, Shirley Wiegand in June 1980; son-in-law, Mike Ingrum on September 4, 2011; two brothers and a sister.

Survivors include two children, Fred “Butch” Wilmore and Veresa Ingrum, both of Malone; three brothers, Herbert Wleczyk of Hungerford, Eugene Wleczyk of Rosenberg, and Willie Wleczyk of Raceland, Louisiana; two sisters, Virginia Pastor of Hungerford and Nancy Calaway of Blessing; six grandchildren, Freddie Ingrum of Malone, Hollie Williams and husband, Brad, of Bynum, Bubba Williams and wife, Jenny of Edna, Kim Fotjik and husband, Kenneth, of Edna, Amanda Jordan and husband, Ricky, of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, and Tiffany Ketchum and husband, Daniel, of Waco; nine great-grandchildren, Canon Williams, Dylan and Jocelyn Jordan, Neal and Emma Wiegand, Brendalynn Fotjik, and Darren, Trenton, and Brody Ketchum; and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christ Lutheran Church, 915 Corsicana Hwy., Hillsboro, TX 76645.
