Glen Hill, 81, of Blum, passed away on October 31, 2016, at his residence. A graveside service under the director of Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney, will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at Whitney Memorial Park with Rick Pinner of the Open Range Cowboy Church, officiating. A visitation will be held from 6-8 PM on Tuesday, November 1st at the funeral home.

Glen was born on November 13, 1934, in Blum, to Barney and Hazel (Rape) Hill and grew up in Hill County. On January 13, 1953, he married Elsie Holt. He worked for Cookbook Bakery in Hill County, then in 1961, he moved to Duncanville and worked for Mrs. Baird’s Bakery. In l994, he retired and moved to Blum where he began ranching and farming and enjoyed working cattle.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a great-grandson, Corbin Campbell.

Survivors include his wife, Elsie Hill of Blum; children Brenda Campbell and husband, Dan of Cleburne and Diane Elrod and husband, Jerry of Combine; grandchildren, Daniel Glen Campbell and wife, Jennifer and Steven Scott Campbell and wife, Trina; great-grandchildren, Makenzie Campbell, Kailey Campbell, Clayton Campbell and Kassidy Campbell.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Providence Hospice of Whitney.
