Glenda Phoncine (Walker) Krizman

Glenda Phoncine Walker Krizman, 84, died on August 18, 2024. She passed peacefully in Tucson, Arizona in the presence of both her children.

Glenda was born in Hill County Texas on April 25, 1940. She was the daughter of John Henry Walker and Annie A. Maass Walker. Glenda was one of ten girls and two boys and will be remembered by her siblings by the nickname “Coley.”  She grew up on a cotton farm in Texas but preferred to be in the kitchen cooking with her mom. She was the mother of two children and lived the majority of her life in South Bend, Indiana. Glenda was a registered nurse but spent most of her life working as owner and operator of Picker’s Paradise Antique Mall and Michiana Party Hall for over 20 years. She would decorate and cater weddings for over 500 guests. She was an avid golfer and was South Bend City Women’s golf champion, and several time club champion at Morris Park Country Club and South Bend Country Club, in South Bend, Indiana. She also enjoyed gardening and being outside. She was a faithful wife, supportive mother, and wonderful grandmother. Glenda will be remembered for her honesty, her kindness to all, her hard work ethic, her love for all her family, and unconditional love.

Glenda is preceded in death by her siblings, Jean Finney, Ouida Ruth Pace, Patsy Walker, Deborah Dollins, Maxie Dee Glockzin, Jeanette English, Charlene VonPohle, Johnny H. Walker, and Billy D. Walker.

Survivors include husband, David Krizman; son, David Krizmanik; daughter, Jeanne Anne Krizman; grandchildren, Shiva Krizmanik, Robert David Krizman Rauh, and William Krizman Rauh. Other survivors include her sisters Claudia Cheairs and Sandra Davidson.

Glenda’s funeral will be held at Walling Cemetery in Malone, Texas on September 7 at 11am.
