Glenn Lee Harwell

Glenn Lee Harwell, 53, of Abbott, Texas, went to meet Jesus Christ May 13, 2022.

A memorial service will be held June 11, 2022, from 11 am to 12:30 pm at Church on the Hill in Hillsboro with Pastor Mike McReynolds officiating.

Glenn was born to Marilyn (Russell) and Alvin Harwell in Hillsboro, Texas.  He graduated from Abbott high school and attended TSTC in Waco, Texas. Most currently Glenn worked part time at the Abbott Travel Center. He occasionally helped cousins Buster and Tim at Russell Bros. Contracting. He enjoyed dirt track racing with his uncle and cousins Bryan and Stacy Russell. He also worked part time at the Turkey Shop in Abbott.

Preceding him in death are his parents Marilynn and Alvin Harwell; his maternal grandparents J B and Elgia Russell; and his paternal grandparents W B and Maebell Harwell.

Glenn is survived by his wife Melissa, his uncle Lynn Russell and wife Susan of Hillsboro, Texas; and many Russell and Harwell cousins who cared deeply for him. Though Glen had no siblings he was blessed with many close friends and family.

Glenn shared a close relationship with his savior, Jesus Christ. He looked forward to attending Church on the Hill with his cousin Stephanie and husband Tony Arellano.

Glenn will be forever remembered by his family and friends.
