Glenn Wall, 88, of Blum, Texas, passed away on Thursday evening, October 20, 2022, in Hillsboro, Texas. Graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at Whitney Memorial Park, Whitney, Texas, with military honors provided by the United States Army Guard. Visitation will take place from noon to 1:00 pm prior to the service, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro.
Glenn was born on July 11, 1934, in Rison, Arkansas to Robert R. and Arkie (Brown) Wall. He grew up in Arkansas. He faithfully served his country in the United States Army from November 7, 1951, until he was honorably discharged on October 9, 1954. During his working career he worked in construction, in the high-rise construction business. One of the many construction projects he participated in was the Hillsboro Outlet Mall. Glenn had several hobbies including fishing, gardening and building or fixing about anything. An avid animal lover, he made pets out of the cattle he raised. He was of the Methodist faith.
Preceding him in death were his parents, a grandson and six siblings. Those left to cherish his memory include his daughters, Glenda Long and her husband, Bill, Darlene McCrary, and Joyce Mosely and her husband, Paul; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; his brother Raymond Wall; his sister, Geneva Emerson; dear friend, Elaine Hall; and numerous nieces and nephews.
