Glennon Marsh

Glennon Marsh, 93, of Whitney passed away on September 20, 2005 in Whitney. She was the daughter of Jesse Forrest and Martha Ann Rainbolt Overton. On October 26, 1930, Glennon married George Carmel Marsh in the Prairie Valley Community and he preceded her in death on December 30, 1991. Glennon had lived in the Prairie Valley and Whitney area all of her life. She taught many years in the nursery department at Prairie Valley Baptist Church where she was a member and was among the group of ladies from the church that quilted 100's of quilts for donations. She was a lunchroom cook for Whitney School for 22 years. Preceding her in death were her parents; grandson, Jeffery Todd Marsh; four sisters and eight brothers. Survivorsinclude her sons; Carthol Marsh and wife, Joyce of Whitney, James Marsh of Burleson, Charles Marsh and wife, Patti of Tolar;14 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild; several nieces and nephews Memorials may be made to Prairie Valley Cemetery Association, 112 HCR 2105 Loop South, Whitney, TX 76692
