Mrs. Grace H. Garrison, 92 of Hillsboro died Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Town Hall Estates in Hillsboro, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 2pm Monday, January 7, 2013, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro with Minister R.K. Fisher officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Garden of Memory near Hillsboro. Visitation will be from noon to 2:00pm prior to the service.
Grace was born July 27, 1920 in Hillsboro, daughter of Luther and Vada (Mathis) Hill. She married James Garrison October 2, 1942 in Hillsboro and after living for a brief time in Pueblo, Colorado, she lived in Hillsboro for the remainder of her life. She was a homemaker, enjoyed working in her yard and when her health was good, she enjoyed working in the Hillsboro Goodie Mill and Franklin Street and Fleas and Tiques Antique Malls in Hillsboro.
She was baptized in 1960 and was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and a faithful member of the Hillsboro Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, James and three sisters; Alma Pedigo, Marie Hill and Martha Baldwin.
Survivors include her daughter, Pat Garrison of Hillsboro, her son and daughter-in-law Sam and Marcia Garrison of Peoria, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Grace will be remembered for her love of her God Jehovah, her family, friends and beloved pets.
