Gray Blake Estes

Gray Blake Estes, four-month-old infant daughter of McKenzi Estes and Ethan Rodriguez, Jr. gained her angel wings and went to meet Jesus on February 9, 2023, in Dallas, Texas.  Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, February 18, 2023, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home Chapel, 3124 North Robinson Drive, Waco, Texas 76706.  Visitation with family and friends will begin at 9:00 am Saturday, prior to the service, under the direction of Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors, Hillsboro, Texas. Burial will follow at Rosemound Cemetery in Waco.

Gray was born October 1, 2022 in Dallas at twenty-nine weeks. Gray spent all her days in the hospital due to her many medical problems she faced.  A beautiful baby girl from the day she was born, Gray brought great joy to all who came in contact with her.  Gray was strong willed and a fighter to the very end.  Gray’s bond with her mother was strong and she knew her mom’s voice. She was a sweet and loving baby who enjoyed looking at pictures, loved bath time and having her head rubbed and could always let you know what she liked or did not like.  Gray definitely had a good “side eye” look and an infectious smile that could light up the entire room, even in the most difficult times. She was loved by the many medical professionals who cared for her.  Gray’s last day on earth was spent surrounded by love, laughter and no pain until she left this world for her eternal home in heaven.

Those left to cherish Gray’s memory are her mother, McKenzi Estes; her father, Ethan Rodriguez, Jr.; grandmothers, Wyndi Goza, Amy Estes, and Laura Rodriguez; grandfathers, Jonathan Estes and Ethan Rodriguez, Sr.; grandparents, Reini and Ryan King; great-grandmother, Amy Butler; great-grandparents, Randy Estes and his wife, Fonda, Suzanne Hughes and her husband Logan; aunts, Chelsi Herring and her husband, Tommye, Peyton Goza, Mallary Estes, Celina Rodriguez, and Natalie Rodriguez; uncles, Grant Estes, Justin Rodriguez, and Nickolas Rodriguez; and numerous cousins and other family members.
