Robert Gregory Ball, 46, of Hillsboro went to be with his Lord Tuesday, March 3, 2009. Greg was born Feb. 27, 1963 in Hillsboro to George Albert Ball and Linda Sue Lloyd Kuykendall. He was a father, truck driver, certified peace officer and firefighter for Peoria and Covington Volunteer Fire Depts. Greg also was a certified EMT and prison guard for CCA at Venus. He married Ruth Ann Raulston, Feb. 27, 1981 and remained friends with her. From this union came his love of his life, Suzanna LaVae which he acknowledged that he had met his match. Greg was a tenacious father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, grandson, cousin, brother-in-law and friend. He will have left a void in so many hearts. He loved fishing, pitching horseshoes, Nascar and was affectionally called Rowdy. He was a member of the Bosque County Cowboy Church. He was preceded in death by his very special dad, M. L. Bud Raulston, special step dad, Charles Abbott; grandparents, George and Clara Ball, J. D. and Lorene Lloyd; nephews, Matthew Abbott, Dewayne Ball, Canaan Ball. Greg is survived by is daughter, Suzanna Cain and husband, Robert Robby of Kopperl; parents; George Ball and wife, Lynda of College Station, Linda Kuykendall and husband, Steve; brothers; J. R. Abbott of Tool, David Abbott and wife, Lynette of Idalou, Jimmy Abbott of El Paso; sisters, Natali Wright and husband, Joe of Pasadena, Kathy Abbott Miller and husband, Adam of El Paso; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, devoted friends, Ruth Ann and David Miller of Kopperl and special mom, Anna Raulston of Blum.
