Upon graduation she married J. C. Tramel and were inseparable for 73 years of marriage.  They settled in Pasadena, Texas for over 32 years where they raised two children, Scarlet and Ben.

Greta was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Pasadena and later First Baptist Church of Hillsboro.  She accepted Christ as her savior at the age of 12 joining the Baptist denomination and remained a faithful servant all her life.
