Hank was the son of Johnny Lee Borth and Ruby Jane Stovall Borth Wilkerson. At the age of 14 he began work as a ranch hand in New Mexico for Clint Weeks, whom he would later name a son after. At 15, he roughnecked in the oil fields of west Texas into the 1950's. He entered the U. S. Army on Nov. 24, 1952 and proudly served his country in Korea. Following his honorable discharge on Dec. 21, 1954, he worked for General Dynamics in Fort Worth. Through the years he worked in home construction, paint contracting, and later was in the custom farming business. It was important to Hank to work where he could raise his children in the country. All of his children grew to have Hank's love and respect for the land. Horses were also a love of Hank's. His daughters and granddaughter inherited his passion for horses, and their abilities with these wonderful animals was a great source of pride for him. A hard worker all of his life, he instilled that work ethic in his children. He was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include: Six children - Teena Tatom and husband, Kyle of Abilene; John Borth and wife, Charlotte of Lakeside Village; Clinton Lee Borth of Whitney; Lucas Ray Borth of Abbott; Tracy Mitchell and husband, Chris of Jacksboro; and Denise Teague of Willow Park. Three sisters - Betty Black and husband, Cliff of Glen Rose; Nelda Frels of Houston; and Mary Thompson and husband, Robert of Keller. Four grandchildren - Jarred Borth and Cody Borth of Lakeside Village, and Seth Tatom and Eryn Tatom of Abilene. and special care giver - April Conant of Whitney.
