Harold Franklin

Harold Ernest Franklin, 62, of Whitney, passed away on December 10, 2016 at his residence. The family will hold a memorial service at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at the Country Club Retirement Community in Whitney. They will also hold a memorial service at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, December 18, 2016, at the VFW Hall in Azle, Texas.

Harold was born on May 8, 1954, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Ernest and Alcie (Burgess) Franklin, growing up in Fort Worth and the Lake Worth area. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force and in 1979, he married Lora Pulley. He worked for Dyna Energetics for 12 years and he and Lora moved to Whitney in 2004. He liked classic cars and restored a Camaro and a Chevelle.

Preceding him death were his parents and a brother, Brad Otis.

Survivors include his wife, Lora Franklin of Whitney; children Jennifer Franklin Moore of Fort Worth, Roger Franklin of Fort Worth and Julie Franklin of Whitney; grandchildren, Ava Franklin and Reese Baloga and one on the way; brothers, Troy Franklin and Bobby Franklin, both of Fort Worth; and sister Darlene Giraud and Sharon Otis, both of Fort Worth.
