Harold Dean Lehmann, 70, of Whitney passed away in Waco on January 22, 2005. He was the son of John Wiliam and Laura Hodde Lehmann. He lived in Hill County all of his life. He lived in the Malone area until moving to Whitney in 1949. He worked for the Whitney Gin from the early 50's until the middle 60's. He was a Field Specialist for the ASCS office for 30 years; retiring in 1994. He married Nancy June Wallace on June 26, 1965 in Whitney. After retirement he served on the City Council for 1 year, then served as Mayor for 2 terms. He was a 4-H leader and the Rabbit Superintendent for the Hill County Fair in the 1980's. He was an active charter member and trustee of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Whitney. He was a Bob Wills fan and enjoyed going to Bob Wills Day in Turkey, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Delores Smith. Survivors include his wife, Nancy of Whitney; son, Lance Lehmann and wife, Becky, of Godley; grandson, Brendan Lehmann of Godley; brother, John Wayne Lehmann and wife Ude, of Germany; sister, Barbara Hoffman and husband, Fred, of Houston; brother-in-law; Pete Smith of New Braunsfels; aunts, Josie Lehmann of West, Minnie Scheler of Round Rock and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
