Harold Bro. Mac McClain, 96, of Whitney passed away at his residence on June 17, 2009. Bro. Mac was born on January 22, 1913 in Wliamstown, Missouri, the son of the late Clyde and Anna Ferguson McClain. He moved to Plainview, Texas when he was three years old and grew up there. He married Mary Cleveland on February 13, 1933 and she preceded him in death on February 10, 1971. He married Billie Cleveland on December 6, 1971. He was ordained in November 1936 and served as pastor in 18 churches and retired with 40 years of ministry in 1978. He continued serving the church in various other ways and had a perfect attendance in Sunday School for 77 years. He was a member of the Whitney First Church of the Nazarene. Also preceding him in death was his sister, Edna Hampton. Survivors: wife, Billie McClain of Whitney; children, Jeanie McClain of Hillsboro, Marilyn Campbell and husband, Jim of O'Fallon, Ill., Ella Overly and husband, Bob of Layton, Utah, Mary Brown and husband, Sam of Richmond, Von Ceil Evans and husband, Robert of Fort Worth, Rocky Cleveland and wife, Dianne of Hurst; brothers, Wayne McClain and wife, Mavis of Bentonville, Ark., Olen McClain and wife, Wilma of Bethany, OK; sisters, Ann Thomas of Lubbock, Neva Bogart and husband, Richard of Brownsfield; 12 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.
