Harold Wardlow

Harold Eugene “Sonny” Wardlow, 77, of Whitney passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2015, at his home surrounded by his family. Visitation will be held from 3:00-5:00 p.m. Friday, November 27, 2015, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 30, 2015, at Bristow City Cemetery in Bristow, Oklahoma.

Sonny was born February 27, 1938 in Ada, OK to Homer E. “Blackie” and Mary L. Wardlow. He married Judith Ingram, his wife of 57 years, on July 12, 1958. He graduated from the Oklahoma Military Academy, attended Southern Illinois University and later graduated from the FBI National Academy in 1979. Sonny served the citizens of Texas for more than 35 years as a Texas Peace Officer in Hill, Ellis, Palo Pinto, and Bastrop counties. Sonny was a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Master Mason.

He is survived by his wife, Judy; three children, Rocky and wife, Angie, Mary Jane, and Guy; his eight grandchildren, Jake, Carson, Joshua, Jeremy, Britney, Kaleigh, Kristen, and Justin; and great-grandchildren, Korra and Grayson.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Wounded Warriors, “Puppies Behind Bars,” or the charity of your choice.
