Harry "Jim" Kimbrell, 72, of Whitney died July 4, 2004 near Aquilla, Texas. He was the son of John and Bernice Patterson Kimbrell. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He retired from General Motors after 30 years and 2 months; was a member of UAW #276 in Grand Prairie; was the 1968 World Champion Bull Rider and a lifetime member of Bass Masters. He was married to Barbara Garner for 21 years and 9 months. He was preceded in death by his parents and stepfather, Paul Gilliard and brother, Bob Kimbrell. Survivors include his wife and best friend, Barbara; children, Don Kimbrell of Crowley, Timothy Kimbrel and wife, Debbie of Georgia, Frank Collins and wife, Debbie of Longview, Shane Collins and wife, Kathleen of Midlothian, Kyle Collins and wife, Glenda of Blum, Rodney Collins and wife, Shirley of Parker, Penny Butler and husband, Reid of Firsco, Kelly Jones Collins and husband, Michael Crisp of Blum; son-in-law, Donald Jones; brothers, John W. Kimbrell and wife, Delores of Arlington, P. J. Crawford and wife, Shirley of Cleburne; sister, Mary Eleanor Anderson and husband, Lloyd of Cleburne; 15 grandchildren, Kurt and Connor Kimbrell, Amanda and Jayne Collins, Chris and Dakota Collins, Justin, Brandy, Josh, and Jesse Collins, Joseph and Ashley Coolins, Tiffany, Brent and Aliah Jones; 1 great grandson, Gavin Michael Martinez; many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of wonderful friends.
