Harvard Lee Mcbrayer, Jr.

Dr. Harvard Lee “Harvey” McBrayer, Jr. passed away March 17, 2022, at his home in Brownwood, Texas. Graveside services will take place at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at Ridge Park Cemetery in Hillsboro, Texas.

Born in Mangum, Oklahoma, he moved to Hillsboro, Texas, where he attended and graduated from Hillsboro High School. After graduation, he attended the University of Texas, then continued his studies at UT Southwest Medical School in Dallas. After completion of medical school, Harvey operated his own family practice in Denton, Texas for thirty years, retiring in 1996. He served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Conflict. Harvey was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed scuba diving, for which he was certified for open water scuba diving.

Preceded in death by his parents, Harvard Lee McBrayer, Sr., and Dorine Elizabeth (Arbuckle) McBrayer, he is survived by his children, Lisa Lipman and her husband, Bryan, and Harvard Kevin McBrayer; his grandchildren, Hunter Lipman and his wife, Morgan, Parker Lipman, and Hailey Lipman; his great-grandchild, Baker Lipman; and his sister, Joyce McKay.
