Hazel Allen Crow, age 95, passed away on Tuesday, July 20, 2010, in Hillsboro, Texas. Hazel was born on January 31, 1915, in the Crow Community north of Whitney to Johnathan Eli and Pearl M. Allen Crow. After attending the Crow School, she transferred and graduated from Hillsboro High School and then attended Hillsboro College. After completing school, she worked for Hampton's Dry Goods Store in Whitney until moving to Fort Worth. Hazel worked for Montgomery Ward's and Goldstein Brother's stores before going to work for Seymour's Camera Shop when the business was established. She worked there until her retirement. Hazel was a resident of Fort Worth for over fifty years. Later in life she moved to Hillsboro to care for her two sisters who had failing health. Hazel was very devoted to her family and was always there in their time of need. She had been a resident of the Town Hall Estates Nursing Home in Hillsboro for the past two and one-half years. During her life, she enjoyed traveling, photography and gardening. She was a very interesting and caring person. Preceding her in death were her parents, five sisters and one brother. Survivors include one sister, Lucille Camp and husband, B. I. of Forth Worth, five nephews, one niece, and several great nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank the staff and director of Town Hall Estates for their loving care during Hazel's residency.
