Hazel Kathryn Miller (Helms)

Hazel Kathryn Helms Miller, 94 of Burleson, passed away Wednesday, October 9, 2024. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Whitney, Texas. Visitation will be before the service from 10:00-11:00 am. A burial will follow at Bethlehem Cemetery in Whitney. 

Hazel, who went by Kathryn, was born December 6, 1929, in Whitney, TX to Leonard L. Helms and Ethel B. Davenport. She married William Treat Miller in 1946 and was a housewife and mother of eight children. She was a faithful servant of God and has now entered into her eternal rest. 

Survivors include sons Olin T. Miller of Whitney, David W. Miller and wife Amy of Burleson; daughters Kay Duke of Meridian, Patricia Hinds of Aledo, and Mary Williams and husband Ernie of Azle; daughter-in-law Leila Miller of Burleson; one sister, Linda Helms Peel of Hillsboro; 10 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren, with two more on the way. 

She was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, parents, and 3 siblings, Dudley Helms, Douglas Eugene Helms, and Anna Dunlap; two sons, Charles Alvin Miller and Eddie Dean Miller and daughter, Jeannette Tobin.
