Helen Buffington

June Buffington, 77, of Maryville, Tennessee passed away on February 23, 2009 in Tennessee. She was born on August 9, 1931 in Winnfield, Louisiana, the daughter of Frank and Etta Kelsey Hambleton. She grew up in Louisiana. On July 19, 1948, she married Marvin Buffington Sr. in Louisiana and he preceded her in death on November 12, 1994 in Whitney, Texas. They lived in Texas, Louisiana and Delaware at various times during their marriage. She was a recent member of the Frisco, TX congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. She was also preceded in death by her parents, grandson, Stephen Buffington and brother, Miles Hambleton. Survivors include her children, Marvin Buffington Jr. and wife, Yvette of Plano, TX, Cheryl Mercey and husband, George of Maryville, TN, Karen Putman and husband Larry of Midland, TX, Debbie Duggan and husband, Scott of Avon, IN, Mike Buffington and wife Dena of Arlington, TX, Cathy Lopez of Lewisville, TX; brother, Gerry Hambleton and wife, Anna of Alexandra, LA; sister - in - law, Carola Moore-Hambleton of White Oak, TX; grandchildren, Michael Buffington, Aaron Davis, Amy Haney, Allison Davis, Laura Rainey, Keith Putman, Jacob Arledge, Xavier Lopez Jr.; great grandchildren, Cassie Preston, Michael Davis, Jonathan Buffington, Tristan Warner, Marcus Rainey, Angelina Buffington, Janae Rainey. The family would like to thank the Maryville Health Care Center and Staff for lovingly providing care and friendship to Helen June during her stay at the facility.
