Helen "Pearl" Davis

Helen Frances “Pearl” Davis, 69, of Hillsboro passed away Sunday, July 17, 2011, at Providence Health Care Center in Waco. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 20, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro with Minister Andrew Bell officiating. Burial will follow at Milford Cemetery in Milford. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 19, at the funeral home.

Helen was born June 2, 1942 in Milford the daughter of Fred Moses and Florence Frances (Aycock) Wells. She always was someone who wanted to help others. For many years, she worked at Town Hall Estates Nursing Home in Hillsboro as a medication aide until her retirement in 1996. She was of the Pentecostal faith and loved the study of God’s word very much. Working word and jigsaw puzzles, singing, playing bingo and watching wrestling were some of her favorite pastimes.

Preceding her in death were her parents and a niece, Trisha Bridges.

Survivors include her four daughters, Tammie Davis, Debbie Royals, Elizabeth Ramos and husband, Leonardo, and Becky Claxton and husband, Paul; brother, Thomas Wayne Wells; two sisters, Angnell Waller and Patsy Marie Mirtz and husband, David; ten grandchildren, Clayton Davis, Mariana Ramos, Issac Bounds, Haley Bounds, Joshua Royals, Angelica Ramos, Victoria Ramos, Cynthia Ramos, Eric Ramos, and Vanessa Ramos; aunt, Eula Mae Deckle; nine nephews and nieces, Danny Joe Waller, Billy Wayne Waller, Wayne Wells, Beverly Pope, Paula Mirtz, Karla Langreder, Katie Jewel Myers, Charles Mirtz, and Barbara Mirtz.
