Helen Hall

Helen Hall, 86, of Hillsboro passed away Sunday, February 22, 2015, at Hill Regional Hospital in Hillsboro. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 26, 2015, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro with Rev. Misael Alvarado of Hillsboro Church of The Nazarene officiating. Burial will follow at Ridge Park Cemetery in Hillsboro. Visitation will be from 4:00-5:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 25, 2015, at the funeral home.

Born February 28, 1928, she was the daughter of William and Ethel Minerva (Jacobs) Harris. She had lived in Hillsboro all of her life. On September 12, 1970, she was united in marriage to Mark Hall. He preceded her in death on July 30, 2007. For 34 years she worked for S. H. Kress & Company in Hillsboro, serving as manager from 1968 until the store closed in 1979. Helen joined the staff of Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in 1980 and was employed there for over 20 years until her retirement. She was a member of the Hillsboro Church of The Nazarene. Also preceding her in death were her parents.

Survivors include a brother-in-law: N. J. Hall of Fort Worth; sister-in-law, Barbara Morris of Whitney; numerous cousins, including Bobbie D. Smalley of Hillsboro, Stan Jacobs of Fort Worth, Dru McDonald of Lake Dallas, Judy Falkner of Waco, William Lee Jacobs of Mountain Home, ID, Watson Jacobs of Norman, OK, Johnny Ivie of Whitney, Herman Ivie of Burleson, Nell Hocker of Bynum, Betty Buchanan of Waco, Joyce Williams of Arlington; and caregiver, Maria Escalante of Hillsboro.
