Helen Parker 89, of Hillsboro passed away on February 22, 2008 in Hillsboro. She was the daughter Joseph Henderson and Carrie Lou Shaw Brittain and moved to Weatherford as a teenager where she lived for some time. In 1968 she moved to Whitney where she owned and operated The Suprise House. She was a creative person and enjoyed making crafts, especially hats. Helen also volunteered at Whitney Elementary School where she read to students. Helen was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Whitney. She was also a member of the Bluebonnet Club and Eastern Star Chapter 930 in Whitney. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, six brothers and one sister. Survivors include her daughter, Stephanie Kay Harris and son-in-law, Clyde L. Harris, Jr. of Hillsboro, daughter, Carolyn Ann Johnston of Dangerfield; sister-in-law, Dorothy Mayo of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Darrell Wayne Harris and wife, Angela Michelle of Arlington, Harold Ray Berkley, Sheila Mitchell, Laurie Ellen Tucker; great grandchildren, Victoria Ashley Harris, Robert Nathaniel Harris, Lisa Kay Spencer, Troy Lee Reed, Kelly Ray Berkley, Brandy Nicole Carter, Christian Berkley, Jacob Lee Tucker, Page Michelle Tucker, Courtney Lynn Tucker and Amanda Ellen Berkley.
