Henrietta Alameda Rippy passed away February 28, 2005 in Whitney. She was the daughter of Henry Benjamin and Hattie Stiles Scarber. She was raised in Oklahoma and spent most of her adult life in the Fort Worth and Houston area. She married Dub Rippy and he preceded her in death. She moved to Whitney in the 80's to be with her family and was a cook in restaurants for many years. She loved to go to church and singing. She was a member of House of Prayer Baptist Church in Whitney. Also preceding her in death was one brother and two sisters. Survivors include her children Jean Nelson and husband, Bill of Whitney, Henry Walker and wife, Helen of Cleburne, James Walker and wife, Maggie of Cleburne; sister, Edna Lovegrove; 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
