Henry Fortner

Henry S. ?Hank? Fortner, 76, of Grand Prairie died Monday, October 23, 2006 at Methodist Hospital in Dallas. Hank was born April 3, 1930 in Kannapolis, North Carolina, where he was raised, the son of James Clarence and Naomi Bentley Fortner. In 1961 he moved to Texas and was a resident of Arlington and Grand Prairie the rest of his life. During the Korean War, he served in the U. S. Army. He was a Presbyterian. Preceding him in death were his parents; a brother, Paul; and a sister, Ruby. Survivors include his children, Pamala Fortner Watkins and husband, Don, of Arlington and Steve Fortner of Grand Prairie; two brothers, Clifford Fortner of Tucson, AZ and Roy Fortner of Huntersville, NC; two sisters, Judea Smith of Kannapolis, NC and Zane Saul of Asheville, NC; three grandchildren, Christopher Shawn Agee, Marcus Sloan Agee, and Ashley Carina Fortner; many nieces, nephews, and the lives of the many he touched.
