Henry Jackson Jack Thomas, 83, of Whitney died Friday, July 9, 2010, at Hill Regional Hosptial in Hillsboro. He was the son of Forrest Jackson and Blanche Martin Thomas. On December 5, 1952 he married Mary E. Strawn in Lubbock, Texas. He was an avid enthusiast of the western culture and enjoyed working with cattle and horses. Henry was of the Methodist faith. He served his country in the United States Navy as a Seaman First Class from March 1, 1944 to August 3, 1947. Henry was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sons; Forrest James Thomas and Charles Wayne Seale; three grandsons, Adam Wolf, Forrest Wayne Thomas, and Jonathan Thomas. Jack is survived by his wife; Mary E. Thomas of Whitney. Six children: Barbara Seale of Dallas, Carolyn Pyle of Clifton, Glenda Wolf and husband Jerry of Whitney, Henry Jackson Thomas, Jr. and wife Wendie of Blum, Karen Gebell and husband Charles of Harrison Township, Mich. Renee Jetta and husband Danny of Sonoma, Calif. Two brothers: Bill Thomas and wife Alice of Olney, Cordie Thomas and wife Marsha of Spring, One Sister: Mary Ann Gordon and husband, Phil of Sudan, Tx.
