Herman W. Buster Symank, 84, of Malone, died Thursday, October 12, 2006, at Hill Regional Hospital in Hillsboro. Buster was born July 20, 1922 near Malone, Texas, the son of Herman C. and Della Radke Symank. During WWII he served his country in the U. S. Army, serving in North Africa and Italy. On June 29, 1946 he married Esther Hodde in Malone. He was an avid farmer and rancher all of his life. For more than 30 years, he was a sales representative for Farmers Mutual Insurance Company. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Hillsboro. Preceding him in death were his parents; one brother, Ben Symank; and one sister, Oleta Dalton. Survivors include his wife of more than 60 years, Esther Symank of Malone; three sons, Robert Symank and wife, Priscilla, of Robinson; James Symank and wife, Patsy, of Arlington; and Joe Symank and wife, Shanna, of Malone; grandchildren, Jeremey and Lisa Symank of Frisco; Genelle and Kevin Atkinson, Elaine and Greg Guerra and Eric Symank all of Robinson; Robert and Stacey Symank of Hewitt; Paul and Mark Symank of Arlington; and Aaron and Addison Symank of Malone; great-grandchildren, Parker & Tori Atkinson, and Tatum, Austin, and Cameron Guerra all of Robinson; and Alice Symank of Hewitt; and three sisters, Lena Radke and Delta Schulz both of Malone, and Edna Taylor of Dallas. Memorials may be made to Christ Lutheran Church, 915 Corsicana Hwy., Hillsboro, TX 76645.
