Hilda Ruth (Dotson) Waits

Hilda Ruth (Dotson) Waits, 89, of Hillsboro, Texas, passed away in Fort Worth, Texas, on Wednesday, September 7, 2022.  Visitation will take place from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors, Hillsboro, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at Marshall and Marshall, with burial to follow at Heath Cemetery.

Hilda was born in Fort Smith, Arkansas on January 2, 1933.  She married Raymond Lloyd Waits on August 1, 1951. Hilda was a long-time resident of Hillsboro, Texas and a member of the Baptist faith.  She joined her husband with her passing and was the last child to join her mother, father, brothers and sisters in making that journey.  While rejoicing in her husband’s embrace and the loving arms of those who prepared for her arrival, she now joins them in watching over us knowing we will be alright.
