Homan Reed

Homan Reed, 84, of Peoria passed away peacefully at his home in Peoria on Tuesday, February 14, 2006. Homan was born February 17, 1921 in Peoria, Texas the son of Homan and Lela Young Reed. On October 25, 1940 he married Delphine Everett at Peoria. After retiring from Exxon in Baytown, Texas, Homan and Delphine returned to Peoria to reside on the family farm, where Homan continued to be active in the Masonic Lodge. Homan was a member of Peoria Baptist Church; member and past master of New Hope Masonic Lodge #652 A.F. & A.M. Covington, past patron O. E. S. Chapter #769 Hillsboro, and an active member and past master Baytown Masonic Lodge #1357 A. F. & A. M. Survivors include his wife, Delphine Reed of Peoria; son, Joe Everett Reed and wife, Jane, of Montgomery, TX; a sister, Margaret Whitson of Plano; two granddaughters, Susan Helton and Stephenie Beridon and husband, Andre, all of The Woodlands; five great-grandchildren, Reed and Trent Helton, and Rayne, Madelaine, and Josh Beridon all of The Woodlands.
