Horace McCauley, 96, of Hillsboro died Friday, November 11, 2005, at Hill Regional Hospital in Hillsboro. He was the son of David Franklin and Bertha Emma Jack McCauley. He lived in Hill County all of his life except during WWII when he lived in Dallas for three years and built planes. He also farmed in Hill County. For ten years he was a welder for Alamo Steel in Waco. Horace was a member of Line Street United Methodist Church in Hillsboro. Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Juanita Frank McCauley, on September 1, 1990; two brothers, Therman and Maurace; and a son, Woodrow. Survivors include his children, Ken McCauley and wife, Helen, of Tulasa, OK., Louise Curry of Hillsboro, Betty McCauley of Lake Cyprees Springs; brothers, Jack McCauley and wife, Paula, of Hillsboro, Marshall McCauley and wife, Debra, of Van Alstyne, Texas; Marion McCauley and wife, Doris, of Fort Worth; sister, LaVerne Finch of Hillsboro and six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren Memorials may be made to Town Hall Estates Nursing Home, 300 Happy Lane, Hillsboro, TX 76645
