Ida Sarah Linton, 84 of Hillsboro passed away Saturday, July 20, 2019. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro.
Ida was born February 12, 1935 in Bethesda, Ohio, she was the daughter of Albert and Dorothy (Pownell) Gross. She grew up in Barnsville, Ohio and graduated from Barnsville High School in 1953. Ida was united in marriage to Grady Linton in January in 1999 and he preceded her in death in June of 2017. Ida was a homemaker and wife taking care of her family and also worked as a waitress. She enjoyed going to flea markets and garage sales to find a good deal. Ida like playing bingo and putting together and making fishing weights and lures. She was of the Lutheran faith.
Preceding her in death were her parents.
She is survived by her children, Tina Meade of Bolliver, MO, Dean Boehning and wife Frances of Hillsboro, Texas, Belinda Henry and husband Dean Martini of Whitney, Texas, James Boehning of Hillsboro, Texas, and Thomas Boehning of Whitney, Texas; a brother, James Gross of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania; two sisters, Alberta Snyder of Barnsville, Ohio and Betty Walters of Orlando, Florida; 6 grandchildren, Shane Garrett, Robert Henry, Rachel Ketcher and husband Kyle, Steve Boehning, Christy Hildebrand and Danielle Meade; 12 great-grandchildren.
