Imogene (Stapp) Scholting

Imogene Scholting, age 85 of Covington, Texas passed away Tuesday February 1, 2022, at her residence. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at Covington Cemetery in Covington, Texas with Chaplain Blake Carpenter officiating. A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Monday, February 7, 2022, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro.

Imogene was born on November 20, 1936, in Leo, Texas to William Franklin and Dovie Faye (Wilson) Stapp.  She was united in marriage to Roger Lee Scholting on December 28, 1944. Imogene enjoyed being outdoors working in the yard gardening her flowers. She enjoyed painting pictures, love to travel, she also loved being with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, she loved them unconditionally.

She is preceded in death by her parents; 4 brothers, Don Wilson, Carol Stapp, Harold Wayne Stapp, Bobby Stapp; and her sister, Ruby Lee Stapp.

Imogene is survived by her husband, Roger Scholting; her children, Cindy Shields, Mike O'Rourke and wife Denise Pat O’Rourke, Scott Scholting and wife Sky, and Rod Scholting; her brother, Rickey Stapp; her sister's, Alma Ferguson and Vickey Bletsch and husband George; 8 grandchildren, Chasity Lantroop, Michael Goheen, Ashley Cansler and husband Murray, Dan O'Rourke and wife Angelic, Nicole O'Rourke, Nicki O’Rourke, Scotty Scholting and wife Maddie, and Talon Scholting; 9 great grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
