Irma Ruth Bradley, 87, of Hillsboro passed away Thursday, October 27, 2011, in a Dallas hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, October 30, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro. Burial will follow at Milford Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, October 29, at the funeral home.
Irma was born May 11, 1924 in Midlothian to R. E. and Cynthia Louisa (Sells) Wilson. She grew up in the Milford area. On October 6, 1940 she married William Leon Bradley and he preceded her in death on March 16, 1978. The couple lived in the Arlington-Mansfield area for many years. In 1978, after William retired, they moved back to the Hillsboro area. Irma loved to quilt and crochet. She will be remembered as the “Best” cook in the county. She was a member of Primitive Baptist Church in Hubbard.
Also preceding her in death were her parents, five brothers, and three sisters.
Survivors include her two daughters, Patricia Nauss and husband, William, of Cleveland, OK and Elaine Wesley of Brownsboro; four grandchildren, Cindy Holman, Ronnie Nauss, David Nauss and wife, Greta, and Jennifer Mentesana and husband, Charles; ten great-grandchildren, Hudson, Reed, Jesse, Matthew, Tyler, Keith, Justin, Ronnie Lee, Billy, and Jennifer; and three great-great grandchildren, Shyla, Aerial, and Devin.
