Isla Moore

Isla Moore, 93, of Whitney passed away at Town Hall Estates Nursing Home on March 19, 2006. She was the daughter of Rayford and Estelle Nivin Watson. Isla grew up in Blum and graduated from Blum High School. She married Allen C. Moore in 1931 and he preceded her in death on Sept. 21, 1968. She owned and operated several restaurants in the Whitney area. She loved to play piano for church, was an avid domino player and didn?t like to loose and had worked as a dietician at Park Plaza Nursing home for several years. She was a member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church. Also preceding her in death were 2 daughters, Shirley Jean Sanders and Kathryn Moore and 3 brothers, Odell Watson, Raymond O. Watson and Avril Watson. Survivors include her children, Billy D. Moore and wife Sandra of Chattaroy, Washington, Jo Ann Fuglaar of Odessa, GayLynne Lambert and husband, Tony of Whitney; brothers, Bailey Watson of Whitney, Leon Watson of Bowie, K. D. Watson of Lubbock, William Rayford Watson of Carlsbad, New Mexico; 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren. Memorials: Hospice of the Heart, PO Box 2081, Whitney, TX 76692
