Iver was born July 29, 1911 in Swift Falls, Minnesota to Elmer J. and Nellie Stolan Dale. He lived in Minnesota most of his life and was a resident of Hillsboro since 1979. On June 15, 1933 he married Helen Nelson in Minnesota. For many years he and his father-in-law owned Dale Transfer in Willmar, Minnesota. Preceding him in death were his parents and a son, James T. Dale on November 18, 1998. In Atwater and Rockford, Minnesota he served as Chief of Police. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Hillsboro; Minnesota Police Officer?s Association; Osman Shrine; Orion Masonic Lodge; Order of Eastern Star; and was a 50 year Mason. He was an avid fisherman. Survivors include his wife, Helen B. Dale of Hillsboro; four children, Eleanor Johnsrud and husband, Tommy, of Waterloo, Wisconsin, Sandra White of Edinburg, Texas, Richard Dale and wife, Ruth, of Midwest City, Oklahoma, and Mary Beausoleil and husband, David, of Long Beach, California; a daughter-in-law, Pam Dale of Hillsboro; a sister, Inga Enger of Willmar, Minnesota; and thirteen grandchildren.
