Ivy Thomas

Ivy T. Thomas, 90, of Hillsboro passed away Friday, July 12, 2013, at her residence. Graveside services will be at Ridge Park Cemetery in Hillsboro on Monday, July 15, 2013, at 10:00 AM with Pastor Derrell Surface of the First Assembly of God Church in Hillsboro officiating. Viewing will be Sunday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, July 14, 2013, at Marshall & Marshall in Hillsboro.

Ivy was born Jun 23, 1923, in Bynum, the daughter of Alexander Frederick and Martha Marie (Huse) Radke. She grew up near Bynum, where she attended school. On December 2, 1941, she married Joe Keeton and he preceded her in death on March 7, 1992. She later married Claude Thomas in April of 1995 in Waxahachie. She had been a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Hillsboro since age 17.

Also preceding her in death were her parents, twelve brothers and sisters and son-in-law, Stevie Humphries.

Survivors include her husband, Claude Thomas, of Hillsboro; three children, Tony Keeton and wife, Debbie, of Maypearl, Donna Rodgers and husband, Ted, and Sissy Humphries, all of Waxahachie; four grandchildren, Kody Keeton and wife, Crystal, Jennifer Egan and husband, Richard, Kelly Wallace and husband, Cale, T. H. Rodgers and wife, Crystal; and three great-grandchildren, Kutter Keeton, Kolder Keeton and Caleb Wallace.
