Jack Curlee, age 91, passed away February 23, 2021, in Carthage,Texas. Immediate burial will be at 1:00 p.m Friday, March 5, 2021, at Hillcrest Garden of Memory in Hillsboro, Texas. Facial masks and social distancing are required.
Jack Jeaton Curlee was born on August 4, 1929 in Itasca, Texas to Thomas and Phemia Curlee. He was the baby of their seven children. Jack accepted Christ at an early age and was of the Church of Christ faith. Jack Curlee married Bobbie Jordan on July 31, 1951 and to this union 2 children were born: Carol and Sandra Curlee. Jack served his country during the Korean War and returned home to work for the Coca Cola Company. After retiring from Coca Cola, he started his own company called Jack Curlee's Tree Trimming and Removal and Home Insulation which was something he loved. His other loves were his family, hunting for quail and dove and deer, fishing and hunting for arrow heads in Hill County, his fur baby Scooter and of course, the Dallas Cowboys.
Jack and Bobbie lived in Waxahachie, Texas for many years before moving to Carthage, Texas to be near their daughters. After 69 years of married Jack fulfilled his marriage vows of “til death do us part” by departing this life at his home On February 23, 2021 surrounded by his family and Scooter.
He was preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Phemia Curlee and his siblings: Tommy, Lloyd, Arnum, Sterling, Jewel, and Marie.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories his wife, Bobbie; daughters, Carol (Mike) Railey, Sandra Curlee; and fur baby, Scooter, all of Carthage, Texas.
The family would also like to thank Yolanda and Lisa who provided love and support during his illness. He loved them very much.
