Jack Gregory

Jack Lewis Gregory, 80, of Hillsboro, died Wednesday, April 26, 2006, at his residence in Hillsboro. Jack was born March 20, 1926 in Campbell County, Virginia the son of Leroy R. and Beatrice Bennett Gregory. During World War II, he served as a member of the 82nd Air Force. In 1945 he received an honorable discharge as Master Sargent. For 18 years, from 1967-1985, he worked for Brake-O-Stores nation wide. On December 13, 1989 he married Barbara Harper in Hillsboro. Preceding him in death were his parents, one sister, and one brother. Survivors includ his wife, Barbara Harper Gregory of Hillsboro; children, Robin Garvin of Mesa, AZ and Jackie Gregory of Dallas; step-sons, Malcolm Harper of Buda and Sam Harper of Silsbee; step-daughters, Kay Hunnicutt of McAllen and Jan Sanders of Hillsboro; brother, Grayson Gregory of Florida; sister, Violet Roth of New York; six grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
